Jackie Shroff shows off his style as he joins Akshay Kumar on Sooryavanshi 

With the film already on the floors, Rohit Shetty has unveiled the latest cast member of the action-packed Sooryavanshi. The makers have revealed the arrival of Jackie Shroff to join the cast a month after they have completed shooting. 

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared an image of the actor, with the director on set as they prepare for a shot. 

In addition to the presence of Jackie Shroff, the image also reveals another of Rohit Shetty's favourite pastimes - cars. The director, posing the foreground, seems to be lost in thought, while Shroff gives his best pose. Shroff is likely to play a new character introduced into the film. 

Actor Gulshan Grover has also been cast in a negative shade in the film. 

Announced in July 2019, Sooryavanshi is a spin-off from Shetty's hit, Simmba, which featured Ranveer Singh. In December, Shetty teased fans with a video that featured all three of the major stars, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, and Ranveer Singh in a video. While Devgn and Singh have been part of Singham (2011) and Simmba (2018), Kumar will play an ATS officer in the upcoming film. 

Sooryavanshi also features Gulshan Grover, Katrina Kaif, Neena Gupta among others. The film is scheduled for release on 27 March 2020.
