Coronavirus update: Tamannaah Bhatia's parents test positive for COVID-19


The actress, the rest of her family members, and staff have tested negative.

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia revealed today that her parents, Santosh and Rajani Bhatia, have tested positive for COVID-19. They showed mild symptoms over the weekend and everyone at her Mumbai home took the test as a precautionary measure.

"The results have just come in, and unfortunately my parents have tested positive," Tamannaah revealed on her social media handles.

"The necessary authorities have been updated of their situation and we are complying with the precautionary guidelines," she added. "The rest of the family members, including myself and the staff have tested negative. By the Grace of God they are coping well and all your prayers and blessings will put them on the road to recovery." 

Just a few days ago, the actress celebrated her father's birthday. It is unclear whether her parents were in isolation at home or had been shifted to any medical facilty. 

This year, Tamannaah was seen in a special song appearance for the film Sarileru Neekevvaru (2020). She is awaiting the release of the Telugu films That Is Mahalakshmi (2020), a remake of Queen (2014), and Seetimaar (2020). The actress has also been cast opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Bole Chudiyan (2019).
