Singer Kanika Kapoor is finally showing signs of recovery from the dreaded coronavirus infection. The singer has reportedly tested negative for COVID-19. She remains under observation.

The ANI news agency reported that the singer's fifth test for the disease was negative, suggesting that she is recovering from the illness. The singer will be kept at the PGI Hospital in Lucknow until one more test returns a negative result.

The singer was the first known person from the Hindi film industry to be affected by the deadly virus that has caused a global pandemic. She was also accused of not taking proper precautions after returning from London during the virus scare.

The singer was diagnosed with the infection in March, and was moved to the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow. Earlier this week, she had tested positive for the infection.
