While the current countrywide shutdown might not be the best time for an actor to make his cinematic debut, Paresh Rawal's son Aditya is set to take on the challenge. The young actor will make his debut in the Zee5 original film, Bamfaad, alongside Shalini Pandey. Directed by Ranjan Chandel, the film will be streamed on the Zee5 OTT platform from 10 April onwards.

Veteran Paresh Rawal shared the news of his son's debut on Twitter.

The film also marks the debut in Hindi cinema of actress Shalini Pandey, who made a mark alongside Vijay Deverakonda in the Telugu cult hit Arjun Reddy (2017).

Aditya Rawal will play Nasir Jamal while Shalini Pandey will play Neelam in the romantic film set in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. Presented by Anurag Kashyap, the poster was shared by director Chandel on Instagram.

In a statement quoted by the Indian Express newspaper, Aditya Rawal said, "I am glad that I got the chance to be part of such a thrilling film. Though the driving force of the film is the love story, it has many layers to it. I want to make my own mark as an actor in the industry, and it feels great to begin my journey by playing Nasir Jamal, a character that fascinated me ever since I read the script. I hope people watch the film in huge numbers on Zee5 and I am eager to hear their feedback."

The statement also quoted Shalini Pandey as saying, "As an artiste, I look forward to projects that challenge me and this project really pushed me and I learnt a lot while playing this part. Bamfaad has a phenomenal storyline and it is getting the perfect exposure with a massive video streaming platform like Zee5."

Produced by JAR Pictures and Shaikia Films, Bamfaad also features Vijay Varma and Jatin Sarna in pivotal roles. Bamfaad will be streamed on Zee5 from 10 April.
