Indranil Banerjee's Lockdown short Hakchhoooo deals with a family in crisis

A social awareness project, the film is a humorous take on what happens when one member of the family starts sneezing during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Indranil Banerjee’s upcoming lockdown short, Hakchhoooo. is a social awareness project featuring Sounak Ray, Debopriya Chakraborty, Rajib Biswas, Sudip Biswas, Arko Bhattacharya, Tuhin Dasgupta, Deboshmita Chakraborty and Pradip Maity. Produced by Banerjee himself, the film deals with the crisis of a family stuck in the nationwide lockdown. 

In the humorous short film, one of the family members, who has to go out to buy essentials from the market, sneezes, setting off a wave of panic in the family. Since sneezing and coughing are among the symptoms of the COVID-19 disease, the family starts suspecting the member has contracted the contagion. The short film gradually reveals how the family gets over its misconceptions and rides through the panic.

The filmmaker released a poster as well as a promo in which all the characters can be seen sneezing one after the other. At the end, the director declares that the upcoming short will be released on 30 April.
