Shiv Sena leader and IT cell core committee member Ramesh Solanki has filed a complaint against the Over-the-top (OTT) platform Netflix for its original series that allegedly defame Hindus and India. The complaint has been filed at the LT Road Police Station in Kalbadevi, Mumbai.
In his written complaint, he has specifically mentioned Sacred Games, Leila, Patriot Act With Hasan Minaj and Ghoul and accused them of the same.
He has alleged that in Sacred Games, Hindus are shown responsible for “all crimes happening in the world, including US killings” and the shloka ‘Aham Brahmasami’ is shown as a war cry. The complaint also alleges that the series defames the ‘Guru Shishya’ relation [referring to the teacher and student relation between the characters of Pankaj Tripathi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui] in bad light.

But that’s not all. Solanki has also claimed in his complaint that the character of Guruji, played by Tripathi, is from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) which influences the Government of India to go on a nuclear war. He has similarly alleged that Deepa Mehta-directed web-series Leila has also hurt the sentiments of Hindus.
The talk show Patriot Act With Hasan Minaj has been accused of being anti-India by allegedly spreading false information on the recent scrapping of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
As far as Ghoul is concerned, the complaint has alleged that it shows the Indian Army of killing innocents.
Actress Koena Mitra has applauded Solanki on Twitter for the complaint he has lodged.
