Understandably, the makers released the poster of the film on the unluckiest day of the year, believed by many to be a day of horrors.

Dharma Productions' maiden venture into the genre of horror kicked off on an appropriate date, 13 September, which falls on a Friday. The production house released the poster of Bhanu Pratap Singh's upcoming horror film, Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship. Featuring Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar, the film is set to release in theatres on 15 November.
Trapped in fear!! Save @vickykaushal09 from #TheHauntedShip on 15th November, in theatres near you. #Bhoot #FridayThe13th@apoorvamehta18 @ShashankKhaitan @bhumipednekar @Bps_91 @DharmaMovies @ZeeStudios_ pic.twitter.com/XRd46liXKC— Karan Johar (@karanjohar) September 13, 2019
The poster features Kaushal trapped within the ship, sinking underwater. The poster also partly reveals the image of the ghost who is forcing Kaushal down to the depths. Even as he fights to reach out for a rope, the actor seems to be fighting to make it to the surface.
The poster reflects the storyline of the film which revolves around a ghosthunter investigating an abandoned and haunted ship.
Directed by Bhanu Pratap Singh, the film is produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions along with filmmaker Shashank Khaitan.
Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship, set to release on 15 November, will also feature Bhumi Pednekar in a yet unrevealed role.
