Rishi Kapoor was accompanied by his wife Neetu Kapoor as they returned to Mumbai. The actor was abroad for 11 months and 11 days for his treatment.
In recent months, Kapoor had opened up about his cancer diagnosis and his stay in New York away from home. In the past 11 months, the Kapoors had had frequent visitors from India, including his large family with son Ranbir Kapoor and his girlfriend Alia Bhatt.
Many members of the Indian film fraternity also dropped by often to boost his spirits. Neetu would often post these reunions on her Instagram profile.
The actor seem tired but happy to be back home. He would have liked to be back for his 67th birthday last week on 4 September, but has come back in time for the Ganeshotsav celebrations in Mumbai which conclude this Thursday, 12 September.
