Bombay Rose in competition, Anurag Kashyap named on jury at 30th Singapore International Film Festival

The lineup for the 30th edition of the Singapore International Film Festival is set. This year's edition will focus on highlighting films from Asia, and its India connect includes Gitanjali Rao's Bombay Rose in the competition section and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap on the jury.
The festival, which will run from 21 November to 1 December, will open with Singaporean filmmaker Anthony Chen's Wet Season and close with Hirokazu Kore-eda’s The Truth.
The animated feature Bombay Rose will compete with China's Dwelling In The Fuchun Mountains, Indonesia’s The Science Of Fictions and Verdict, and Japan's The Kamagasaki Cauldron War. A total of nine feature films will be in competition.
Kashyap will serve on the competition jury along with Hong Kong’s Pang Ho-cheung, Singapore’s Amir Muhammad and Indonesia’s Nia Dinata.
Chinese actress Yao Chen, screening her new film Send Me To The Clouds, will be honoured with the Cinema Icon award, Wet Season (2019) actress Yeo Yann Yann will be honoured with the Inspiring Woman in Film award. Filmmaker Miike Takashi, who will be present for a masterclass, is also due to receive an honorary award.
