The first posters of director Om Raut’s Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior (2019) share the glimpses of the long-in-the-making period film and they have instantly caught the frenzy of netizens. The character posters of Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan instantly remind us of their last appearance together which was in Vishal Bhardwaj’s highly acclaimed Omkara (2006).

The film sees Devgn play the great Maratha warrior Tanhaji. He looks spectacular on the poster as he wields his sword with style. He has the typical turban worn by the Marathas and his face has an expression of determination.

Khan’s look, on the other hand, matches Devgn with equal appeal. He has a menacing expression of a bad guy and his sword with a blue shade constrasts the warm tones of Devgn's.

In an interview with the tabloid Mumbai Mirror, Khan had said about his participation in the film, "I am happy to be a part of this huge historical which will be a screen extravaganza, a post-Baahubali kind of experience in 3D. Ajay loves cinema, is a great producer, and this is the right film to make today as it highlights patriotism and heroism. Kids will love it, so will the rest of the country."

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior was earlier supposed to release on 22 November this year. The film has been postponed to 10 January 2020.
