Actor Karthi has confirmed that his brother Suriya, who is riding on the success of his latest release Kaappaan (2018), will next team up with Singam franchise director Hari.

Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad while promoting his forthcoming release Kaithi (2019), Karthi confirmed that Suriya will team up with Hari next.

Over the last few weeks, reports emerged that Suriya might team up with Hari or Vetrimaaran, who is basking in the success of Asuran (2019).

There’s no information on when the project with Suriya will go on the floors. It also must be noted that Suriya has a project with director Siva of Veeram (2014) and Viswasam (2019) fame in the offing as well.

Meanwhile, Suriya’s upcoming release will be Sudha Kongara's Soorarai Pottru, based on the life of Captain GR Gopinath – founder of the budget airline Air Deccan, sees Suriya team up with a female filmmaker for the first time.

Suriya was seen playing a bodyguard in his latest release Kaappaan (2019), which was directed by KV Anand.

Despite scathing reviews from critics, Kaappaan managed to hold its ground at the box-office and went on to mint over Rs100 crore at the box office.

Kaappaan marked the first time on screen collaboration of Suriya and Mohanlal.
