The action film will now release on 15 November, while the Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer goes up against Ujda Chaman on 8 November.
Bala, Marjaavaan swap their November release dates
Mumbai - 10 Oct 2019 12:30 IST
Upcoming November films, Marjaavaan (2019) and Bala (2019), have swapped their release dates. Marjaavaan, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh, has been pushed back a week to 15 November, while Amar Kaushik's Bala, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar, has been moved up to 7 November.
This pits the comedy about a bald man against another comedy about a bald man, Ujda Chaman (2019), starring Sunny Singh Nijjar. It remains to be seen if the smaller comedy directed by Abhishek Pathak will decide to push their film back or go up against the similarly-themed Bala.
Marjaavaan's producer, Bhushan Kumar on T-Series said on Twitter, "I’ve had a long standing relationship with Maddock Films and Dinesh Vijan is also a dear friend. I’ve decided to shift Marjaavaan to 15 November 2019, to make way for Bala."

Vijan, via the Maddock Films Twitter handle, replied, "Before anything Bhushan is a friend, and he understands how impactful the release date of a film can be. He’s been kind enough to move Marjaavaan and let Bala come, and for that I’m grateful."
