The first three posters of director and writer Saurabh Verma’s Marathi movie, Vicky Velingkar (2019), generated intrigue. Now, the teaser of the film starring Sonalee Kulkarni lives up to the mystery built by the posters.

The teaser makes it clear that the film is a thrilling affair about a cat and mouse game between Vicky Velingkar (Kulkarni) and the character called Mask Man (the identity of the actor isn’t revealed yet). He is hellbent on hurting Velingkar. The girl, on the other hand, is trying to save herself. She is frightened, but at the same time determined to outsmart him.

The makers haven’t revealed the story whatsoever in the teaser which is encouraging. It has enough elements to keep you interested in the story. As far as the technical aspects are concerned, the film appears to be a sleekly crafted contemporary thriller that aims to keep you on the edge of your seat.

The presence of clocks looks beautiful and adds to the mystery. They are there for a reason as Velingkar is a clock seller and a comic book artist. Kulkarni appears promising in the role of a young protagonist.

This is the third time that she is playing the titular character after Poshter Girl (2016) and the recently released Hirkani (2019). There aren’t many films with female lead characters in Marathi. So, the actress being able to do three of such films is quite an achievement.

Vicky Velingkar will be released on 6 December. Watch the teaser below and let us know if you would be watching this film.
