Aamir Khan has shared the first announcement video for his upcoming film, Laal Singh Chaddha (2020), an official remake of the Tom Hanks-starrer, Forrest Gump (1994). The announcement video also features a soundtrack composed by Pritam.

While the short clip does not reveal or feature Aamir Khan's eponymous Laal Singh Chaddha, it provides a pleasant introduction. The sight of a feather wafting around a sky blue background, before settling around the title reveal is catchy. The clip also features a song by Pritam, with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

Khan also used the lyrics 'Kya pata hum mein hai kahani, ya hai kahaani mein hum...[Wonder whether the story is in us/or are we in the story], into his introduction to the video.

Forrest Gump told the tale of a simple-minded man who ends up participating in some of the most historic moments of his country's rise, owing to his straightforward, uncomplicated view of life.

The film went on floors on 1 November. In addition to Aamir Khan, the film will also feature Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead role.

Adapted by Atul Kulkarni from the original screenplay by Eric Roth, Laal Singh Chaddha will be directed by Advait Chandan. It is being produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao and Viacom Studios.

In addition to the Indian producers, the video also credits Paramount Pictures, which bankrolled the original Robert Zemeckis film featuring Hanks. Viacom Studios is the parent company for Paramount Pictures.
