Irrfan Khan recently made a comeback to cinema from illness and started shooting for Angrezi Medium, the sequel to his 2017 hit Hindi Medium.

The actor returned after undergoing treatment in London for a neuroendocrine tumour which was diagnosed early last year, just before the release of his film Blackmail (2018).

Fans of the popular actor were delighted when his first still from Angrezi Medium was released. So, obviously, the media was eager to hear from him. The actor’s latest note addressed this.

“The last few months have been on a road to recovery, a period to heal, to fight the fatigue and face the reel and real world. I am aware of your concern and request to talk to you, share my journey, but I am fathoming it myself, inhaling and internalising, taking baby steps to merge my healing with work and trying to experiment the amalgamation of both,” said a part of the note.

Irrfan Khan also thanked everyone for the prayers and concern, just like he has done in the past. “I am deeply touched by your wishes, your prayers and it means a lot for me and my family. I truly respect the way you respected my journey giving me time and space to heal. Thank you for your patience and the warmth and the love all through this overwhelming journey,” he said.

Hindi Medium was directed by Saket Chaudhary while Angrezi Medium is being helmed by Homi Adajania. The film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepak Dobriyal, who played an important part in the first film, and Radhika Madan.
