The war with PewDiePie might be settled now, but the T-Series juggernaut on YouTube continues to roll. The channel became the first in the world to get to 100 million subscribers on the multimedia platform. The channel offers users a range of verticals, including music from leading Indian films and singles (non-film music).

Founded in January 2011, the T-Series YouTube channel has 29 sub-channels and the most viewed Indian uploads.

Speaking about the milestone in a press release, chairman Bhushan Kumar thanked the fans and T-Series employees: "A constant surge of new music as well as early adaptation and first-mover advantage went in our favour. We pushed our content across offline media and social media platforms without any doubt about what we could achieve, it helped drive traffic to our channel.”

The phrase 'Content is King' found an echo in Vinod Bhanushali, T-Series president of marketing, media and publishing (TV) and music acquisitions, who stated, “It was Gulshanji’s [the late founder Gulshan Kumar's] vision to promote new talent, create content in the form of music and films that consumers will love. Content creation that started in 1984 became available to everyone with easy navigation with just a click on YouTube.

"To ensure we feed audiences with fresh content every day, we are making music via films that we are producing in-house, acquiring music and bringing back the era of music videos/singles. We thank the entire Indian film industry and our teams for helping us and Indians the world over for showering us with so much love," he added.

The production company and music label also has a busy 2019. From the Salman Khan-led Bharat to Prabhas's Hindi debut Saaho, the label has quite a few promising films lined up for release. In addition to these, Kabir Singh, Marjaavaan and Batla House are among the other collaborations under the T-Series flagship.
