Having cast her in the upcoming Saand Ki Aankh (2019), Anurag Kashyap is set to back another Taapsee Pannu film, Game Over (2019).

The director confirmed stepping in to present the Hindi version of the Tamil-Telugu bilingual by Ashwin Saravanan. The film is being produced by Y Not Studios, which also backed the popular Vikram Vedha (2017)

Confirming the news, Kashyap shared the media release from Y Not Studios on his social media handle, saying, 'Proud to be bringing this amazing thriller/slasher/noir from the makers of Vikram Vedha to our Hindi audience.'

The film's poster was released back in October 2017, with the image of Pannu's wheelchair-ridden heroine. The film will be set in a house, with Pannu stuck to the wheelchair while she deals with the horror.

Speaking about the film, Taapsee Pannu said, "When I heard this script I knew this film had international appeal and considering the kind of people attached with it (Ashwin Saravanan and Y Not) I had strong belief in the product."

The actress went on, "I'm supremely excited to take this film for my Hindi film audiences and there could have been no better person than Anurag Kashyap to present this film in Hindi."

Shibashish Sarkar, group CEO of Reliance Entertainment, said in a statement, "Top-notch filmmaking coupled with Taapsee Pannu's pan-Indian stature and Anurag Kashyap coming on board to give the right amount of fine-tuning and creative intervention it requires to suit the Hindi audiences is just the perfect thing to be happening to Game Over."

The film is co-written by Kaavya Ramkumar and Ashwin Saravanan. The release date of the film has not been revealed yet.
