Buzz has it that Go Goa Gone (2013) makers Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK have lined up a wacky comedy, but it's not the sequel to their 2013 zombie film, as reported by MumbaiMirror.com. According to the report, the film will be helmed by Tumbbad (2018) co-director Rahi Anil Barve.

Speaking to us briefly at the 49th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa in November 2018, writer-director-producer Raj had mentioned working on a project that wasn't a sequel to Stree (2018).

MumbaiMirror.com quoted a source as saying: “It’s a crazy comedy that will be shot across the country. Rahi was brought on board because the film is being planned as a visual spectacle like Tumbbad was.”

When contacted, Barve told us, "It’s too early to comment. I am taking my time. You’ll come to know when there is an official announcement. I don’t want to say anything."

Barve shot to fame with the critically acclaimed period horror film, Tumbbad released last year. While producer-actor Sohum Shah is keen on a sequel, a source close to Barve had told us that the filmmaker has signed a couple of projects. One of these projects is said to be a period drama on a digital platform.

If true, Barve will collaborates with Raj and DK for the first time.
