Ajay Devgn, T-Series join hands to produce Punjabi remake of Singham 


Directed by Navaniat Singh, the film featuring Parmish Verma, Sonam Bajwa, and Kartar Cheema, will be released on 9 August this year.

Singham (2011) is a marquee film in actor Ajay Devgn’s career and the actor will now turn producer on his Singham journey. Devgn has joined hands with T-Series and Panorama Films to produce the Punjabi remake of Rohit Shetty’s Singham.

The film will be helmed Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se (2018) director Navaniat Singh. Parmish Verma will step into Devgn's shoes and Sonam Bajwa will play the female lead. Kartar Cheema will also feature in the film. The makers also unveiled the logo of the film which will be out in theatres on 9 August.

Singh is a noted Punjabi filmmaker who helmed the Hindi film Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se (2018). Devgn will produce his maiden Punjabi film with Singham.

Devgn's Singham was adapted from Tamil film Singam (2010). Both Devgn and Rohit Shetty reaped success with Singham (2011) and Singham Returns (2014).
