Months after the release of Baahubali 2 last year, its director SS Rajamouli is finally ready with his next project — a yet-untitled Telugu multi-starrer film with Ram Charan and Jr NTR, who are teaming up for the first time.
The project, which was officially launched on 11 November in Hyderabad, has been on the floors since a couple of months.
It was rumoured not long ago that both Ram Charan and Jr NTR will be seen playing brothers in the yet-untitled project, but latest reports suggest that Ram Charan will be seen playing a cop and Jr NTR as a forest brigand. Jr NTR is expected to bulk up for the role, while Charan will sport a lean look.
Not long ago, producer DVV Danayya in a media interaction said that the film will be a visual treat.
“The pre-production work has been going on for months. The art department has commenced work on erecting sets where a crucial portion of the film will be shot. The estimated budget of the film will be Rs300 crore. This is going to be a visual treat for fans and audiences alike,” Danayya said.
While MM Keeravani will compose music, Senthil Kumar has been roped in to work the camera.
The film’s story has been penned by Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad, the man behind blockbusters such as Baahubali franchise and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Well-known production designer Sabu Cyril will take care of the sets.
Rajamouli has so far not revealed anything about the film. The makers are yet to reveal the rest of the cast and crew.
