Sindhubaadh teaser: Vijay Sethupathi-starrer promises plenty of action

The teaser of Vijay Sethupathi’s Sindhubaadh, which will be the star’s third release of the 2019 after Petta and the upcoming Super Deluxe, was released on Monday amid high expectations. Going by the response, the makers can breathe a sigh of relief.

The teaser opens in what appears to be Thailand and we get a quick glimpse of a large explosion. We hear Vijay Sethupathi’s voiceover and he says that problems are common in everyone’s lives, but when you try and hide from a problem, it chases till we run for our lives.

A few shots later, we hear Sethupathi say that instead of running from a problem, what happens if we choose to not hide, bow down and stare the problem right in the eye? He asks, should we run away from a problem or make it run away from us?

Sindhubaadh looks like the story of one man who decides to stand his ground, face his problems and put up a fight.

Going by the visuals, it could be story of an immigrant from Tamil Nadu to Thailand doing everything he can to survive.

Directed by SU Arun Kumar, the film also stars Anjali as the leading lady. The team extensively shot some action sequences for over a month in Thailand. Some portion of the film has also been shot in Tenkasi, Tamil Nadu.

Sethupathi is currently shooting for his next project with director Vijay Chandar. The yet-untitled project, being produced by Vijaya Productions, also stars Raashi Khanna.
