Junglee release advanced to 29 March, to clash with Salman Khan production Notebook

Vidyut Jammwal-starrer Junglee is set to arrive in theatres a week earlier than its initial release date. The film is now has a new release date — 29 March. Directed by Chuck Russell, the film was initially scheduled to be released on 5 April.
The actor made the announcement by sharing a teaser of the new release date on his social media account.
Despite the change in the release date, the film is likely to find a clash. Jammwal's film will now vie for eyeballs with the Salman Khan-backed romantic drama Notebook, starring Zaheer Iqbal and Pranutan Bahl on 29 March.
On 5 April, it would have been forced to share screens with John Abraham-starrer, Romeo Akbar Walter.
Junglee is a story of action-adventure built on the friendship between Jammwal's character and an elephant named Bhola. The film seeks to capitalise on the actor's now popular martial arts skills, showcasing a mix of kalaripayattu, among other forms.
The film marks the debut of Chuck Russell in Hindi cinema. It will also feature Marathi actress Pooja Sawant.
