Shah Rukh Khan will remain the 'King', even when he is not voicing 'The Lion King'.
The actor makes his appearance as the voice of Mufasa, the father of Simba, the lion king, in the upcoming remake of The Lion King (2019) by Disney. The Hindi version of the film will see Khan voice Mufasa, with son, Aryan Khan, voicing Simba.
While the English trailer had multiple voices featuring James Earl Jones, Donald Glover, and others, the Hindi trailer seems to be built around Khan's character of Mufasa.
'Remember who you are," says Khan, repeating the now iconic line in his own scruffy baritone. The actor does his best to keep up the regal mannerism of the voice, but make it feel like he is trying a little too hard. Regardless, Khan is convincing.
What is surprising though is the absence of Aryan Khan. The actor, who is actually voicing 'The Lion King' Simba, is absent, although Simba does make an appearance on screen.
The Lion King is a computer-generated imagery (CGI) remake of the animated 1994 film of the same name. The Hindi version of the film will also feature Ashish Vidyarthi, Shreyas Talpade, Sanjay Mishra, and Asrani among others.
