Sunny Deol has postponed his son Karan’s launch pad Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas to 20 September because of his political commitments, as per a report in the newspaper Mid-Day. The film was earlier supposed to release on 19 July. It also marks the debut of actress Saher Bamba.

The news doesn’t come as a surprise because the makers haven’t released the trailer of teaser of the film yet.

Sunny won the Gurdaspur seat in Punjab in the recently concluded general elections from the ticket of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

“Ever since his victory in Gurdaspur last month, Sunny has been busy taking stock of the situation and planning various measures that need to be implemented in the city. Knowing the important role that a debut vehicle plays in an actor's career all too well, Sunny doesn’t want to give divided attention to Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas. So, he thought it best to push the love story by two months,” a source told Mid-Day.

Sunny’s spokesperson also confirmed the postponement and said, “The film is now coming on 20 September. The actor was busy with his political duties because of which a bit of post-production work is remaining and that will be completed soon.”

The report also mentions that they are yet to shoot the title song of the film. The actor-filmmaker is expected to return to the city by this weekend and will start focussing on the film.

By releasing the film on 20 September, it will now clash with Nagraj Manjule’s Jhund, which stars Amitabh Bachchan, and The Zoya Factor with Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Dulquer Salmaan. It was earlier due to be released opposite the comedy Arjun Patiala (2019), starring Diljit Dosanjh and Kriti Sanon on 19 July.

This will be the second three film clash in the second half of 2019. The other falls on 15 August, Independence weekend, with the release of Saaho, Mission Mangal and Batla House.
