Actress Amruta Subhash is known for giving quality performances. Along with Marathi cinema, she was also seen in this year's successful Hindi film, Gully Boy (2019). But not many would be aware that she is also a singer.

She has learnt classical singing and released her own album named Jata Jata Pawasane in 2014. Additionally, Amruta has also sung in films like Hapoos (2010) and Ajintha (2012)

She has now lent her voice in the Marathi movie, Welcome Home, for the song ‘Kirr Raan.’ The track speaks about the sorry tale of Saudamini, who is played by Mrinal Kulkarni.

Amruta has brought on the right notes to make you feel for the protagonist. Her voice keep lingering in your head long after you listen to the song written by Sunil Sukthankar, one of the directors along with Sumitra Bhave. Parth Umrani’s music is a smart mixture of pleasant and haunting tunes.

Kulkarni goes about her chores in a mechanical way. But that doesn’t mean she is expressionless. The actress has shown her skill by portraying her state through empty expressions and eyes, devoid of much feeling.

Welcome Home also stars Sumeet Raghvan, Mohan Agashe and Uttara Baokar in pivotal roles. The film is releasing tomorrow on 14 June.
