Jabariya Jodi song 'Khadke Glassy': Sidharth, Parineeti revel in Holi celebrations

Tanishk Bagchi is on hand for yet another 'recreation'.

In the first song for the upcoming romantic comedy, Jabariya Jodi (2019), Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra make merry and flirt in 'Khadke Glassy'. The song is a recreation of Yo Yo Honey Singh and Ashok Mastie's 'Khadke Glassy' from the early 2000s.

Master at recreation Tanishk Bagchi has been brought in yet again to update the song. He is mostly faithful to the original. This version minimizes Singh's rap portions and keeps the vocals of Mastie, adding the vocals of Jyotica Tangri to the mix.

Bagchi adds some new lyrics to Channi Rakhala's 'Khadke Glassy' but the overall song has not been tampered with. Mastie and Tangri’s vocals complement each other and the two leads. However, it does seem a bit out of place for a Punjabi song to be in a film based in Uttar Pradesh.

The colourful visuals of the song points to the undeniable flirtation between Malhotra's Abhay and Chopra's Babli. With Holi as the background, they drink bhang and colour each other playfully.

But even within the song, it's clear that while they are attracted to each other, Abhay is not ready to commit.

Jabariya Jodi, directed by Prashant Singh, is due to be released on 2 August.
