Actress Taapsee Pannu has announced a reunion with her Mulk (2018) director Anubhav Sinha for a new project. The film, reportedly titled Thappad, will be another social drama with Pannu playing a married woman in the film.

The actress revealed the news about the film on her social media page. She wrote, "Cheers to the new beginning with some good food! This one is a subject too close to my heart. I've been wanting to do this since years. It becomes exciting when it happens with the 'Man of the Moment'. 8th March 2020 will surely be the day to watch out for!"

Sinha is currently on a high with Article 15 receiving critical acclaim as well as a fair degree of success at the box office. The film is Sinha's second consecutive success after Mulk (2018).

Pannu's tweet also revealed that the film is set to be released on Women's Day 2020 (8 March). The actress is currently shooting for Saand Ki Aankh, where she plays the role of Prakashi Tomar.

Saand Ki Aankh is set to be released in Diwali this year. The film with Anubhav Sinha will be Pannu's first major release in 2020.
