The curse of the blackbuck does not seem to end for Salman Khan. The Rajasthan high court has warned that it may cancel the bail granted to the actor if he does not appear in person at the next hearing in the poaching case dating back to 1998.

The court made the observation at a fresh hearing today of the actor's appeal against the trial court's judgement. The next hearing has been fixed for 27 September 2019.

According to the news agency ANI, the court threatened to cancel the actor's bail if he did not make an appearance at the next hearing.

The actor was pronounced guilty by the Jodhpur sessions court of poaching blackbucks during the shooting of his 1998 film, Hum Saath-Saath Hain. While other actors like Tabu, Saif Ali Khan and Sonali Bendre were acquitted in the case, Khan was sentenced to five years in jail and a fine of Rs10,000 by the sessions court in April 2018.

The actor then filed an appeal in the Rajasthan high court, following which he was granted bail for a surety of Rs50,000. The hearing was later postponed to 4 July, with the actor ordered to be present.

However, the actor's failure to turn up at the hearing today did not go down well with the high court.

The hearing has now been postponed to 27 September and the actor has been warned to remain present in court.

Salman Khan is currently preparing for the release of his next film, Dabangg 3, on 20 December 2019.
