Jabariya Jodi song 'Macchardani': Vishal Mishra, Jyotica Tangri pair up for a quirky fast-paced duet

Mishra's composition highlights Raj Shekhar's wacky but funny lyrics.

Wedding songs sure have gotten "out there" as times change. I'm sure ten years ago, we wouldn't have imagined a song called 'Macchardani', but here we are. And the song is a surprising earworm, thanks to composer Vishal Mishra's fast-paced tune.

The song's picturisation takes place at Babli's (Parineeti Chopra) wedding festivities. Her character has on-going flirtation with Abhay Singh (Sidharth Malhtora), but it looks like her marriage has been arranged with Aparshakti Khurana's character. While she readies herself for marriage, she imagines Abhay there with her.

The highlight of the song are Raj Shekhar's lyrics. The wedding song incorporates modern aspects of a relationshiop, including sharing online passwords, but is mainly based around raising the heat (literally and figuratively) and not using a mosquito net. Mishra, who sings the duet with singer Jyotica Tangri, maintains a swift tempo in 'Macchardani', giving it both a comic and earnest approach.

The choreography too matches the attitude of the wedding number.

Jabariya Jodi, directed by Prashant Singh, is due to be released on 9 August.
