Chippa, The Last Color win big at Indian Film Festival Stuttgart

Safdar Rahman's Chippa and Vikas Khanna's The Last Color ended up as the big winners at the 16th edition of the Indian Film Festival in Stuttgart, Germany.
The road film Chippa featuring child actor Sunny Pawar won the German Star of India for Best Film in the Feature Film category and prize money of 4,000 euros. Khanna picked up the Director's Vision Award for his directorial debut and a prize of 500 euros. The Last Color, starring Neena Gupta as a widow in Vrindavan, also picked up the Audience Award at the German festival.
“I am overwhelmed by receiving this award. It’s a milestone for us that the movie has received so much appreciation and recognition all across the globe. I could not have asked for more and it makes me immensely proud to share that in 16 years, The Last Color is the only movie to win two main awards at this festival," Khanna said in a statement.
Ashish Pandey's Nooreh won the German Star of India for the Best Short Film. Reema Sengupta's short film Counterfeit Kunkoo received special mention.
In the documentary category, Archana Phadke's About Love won the German Star of India, while Sapna Moti Bhavnani won special mention for her film, Sindhustan.
The five-day German festival was attended by more than 5,000 visitors.
