Super 30, starring Hrithik Roshan, has managed to earn good numbers in its first week. Inspired from the life of mathematician Anand Kumar, the film has made Rs75.50 crore in the period in India, as per figures shared by Boxofficeindia.com.

The film opened to a decent number of Rs11.75 crore on Friday (12 July). But it had a good jump on Saturday and Sunday, earning Rs18 crore and Rs20.50 crore respectively. After bagging a good Rs7 crore on Monday, the film had a pretty strong hold during the week.

As per our trade sources, Super 30 is made on a budget of Rs65 crore. It has surpassed that number in the first week itself. We need to wait and watch how the film fares in the second week starting today. The film’s performance in the second week will determine it’s final standing at the box office.

Meanwhile, Anubhav Sinha’s Article 15, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, had a decent third week making Rs8.50 crore. The film has earned a good Rs60.50 crore so far.

But positive numbers of these films have had no effect on the holdover release Kabir Singh as the film was unstoppable even in its fourth week. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and starring Shahid Kapoor, the film earned an impressive Rs15 crore in the period. If we do not consider the Hindi version of Baahubali: The Conslusion, these are the third best fourth week figures ever for a Hindi film after Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019) and 3 Idiots (2009) which had made Rs29.30 crore and Rs15.95 crore, respectively. The film’s overall total now stands at a stupendous Rs261.71 crore.
