Actor Vijay Sethupathi, who has over half-a-dozen projects in his kitty and was seen recently on the big screen in the Tamil action-thriller Sindhubaadh, has finally revealed why he likes to hug and kiss his fans wherever he meets them.

At a recent media interaction, Vijay Sethupathi reportedly said, "I know they all come to me with a lot of love and I don’t want to discriminate against them based on whether they are well-dressed or not. I hug and kiss them.”

A report in The Times of India newspaper quoted the star as saying it all began when two young fans asked him to kiss them when they met him for a selfie quite early on in his career.

“They put out the photo on social media and it became viral. Then people started asking me for a kiss. I hug and kiss people who come to meet me. I believe love has that power. And I’m not doing it consciously, it comes naturally to me,” he said.

This year, Sethupathi will make his debut in the Telugu and Malayalam industries as well. In Telugu, he will be seen playing a pivotal role in superstar Chiranjeevi’s Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. And he recently completed shooting for Jayaram’s upcoming Malayalam film Markoni Mathai.

Sethupathi also has Tamil films like Mamanithan, Laabam, Kadaisi Vivasayi and VSP 33 in the pipeline. He also has a couple of new projects which he will begin shooting for very soon.
