The Shahid Kapoor-starrer earned Rs16.25 crore on Saturday (29 June), which grew to Rs17.75 crore on Sunday (30 June), according to the box office website. This is a 10% growth in the second weekend, and might have grown further but for competition from Anubhav Sinha's Article 15.

Article 15 review: Restrained Ayushmann Khurrana drives Anubhav Sinha's brilliant, layered film

Article 15 had a decent weekend with Rs7.25 crore on Saturday and Rs7.75 crore on Sunday. This was a definite increase from its Rs4.75 crore opening on Friday. The film has a good buzz around it, and a topical subject, and this might see its collections grow further.

This takes the Anubhav Sinha film's opening weekend collection to Rs19.75 crore. This is a little on the lower side, and the film may have been affected by the Kabir Singh wave.

The coming weekend has no major releases, however, except Mangesh Hadawale's Malaal and Ashok Nanda's One Day: Justice Delivered. So both Kabir Singh and Article 15 may look to improve their collections on the coming weekend.
