Sab Kushal Mangal writer-director Karan Kashyap and producer Prachi Nitin Manmohan have zeroed in on their leading lady — Riva Shukla. She will share screen space with Priyaank Sharma, who will also make his debut with Sab Kushal Mangal.
Riva is the daughter of Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan, while Priyaank is the son of veteran Hindi film actress Padmini Kolhapure.
It may be recalled that Ravi Kishan had got his first major break in Hindi cinema with producer Nitin Manmohan’s Army (1996), and now his daughter will make her debut in a film produced by Manmohan’s daughter Prachi.
“Riva has spent her childhood watching me act and learn the craft from me. She is a born actress. She has bright future ahead,” said an elated Ravi Kishan, through his manager.
The father also pointed out that his daughter has been part of Naseeruddin Shah’s playgroup (Motley). She has also done an acting course from The Acting Corp Institue in Los Angeles, USA. In fact, Riva was in America when her father’s friend Moin Baig had broken the news to her.
She is still in America and there is no word yet on when she will start shooting for Sab Kushal Mangal. Apart from first-time lead actors, the film also has Akshaye Khanna playing a pivotal part.
