The Yash-starrer KGF (2018), which has been directed by Prashanth Neel, is still enjoying a successful run in cinemas and has already grossed over Rs200 crore worldwide.

Having bowled over critics and audiences alike, the film has now impressed popular Tamil star Vijay, who couldn’t contain his excitement after watching the film.

Apparently, Vijay called and congratulated the film’s director as well as the lead actor.

“Vijay sir was really so impressed with the film that he called and spoke to Yash for nearly half an hour," a source from the Tamil star's team told Cinestaan.com. "He congratulated him on the film’s grand success. He also made a brief call to director Prashanth and praised his work.”

Vijay saw the film at a special screening at his residence. Last seen on screen playing an NRI in the controversial blockbuster Sarkar (2018), Vijay is gearing up to play a coach in his next film, tentatively titled Thalapathy 63 (2019), with director Atlee.

Meanwhile, there are reports that Prashanth Neel might next join hands with Prabhas. A source from UV Creations told Cinestaan.com that impressed with his work and vision in UV Creations, Neel has been offered an opportunity to direct Prabhas.

“Prashanth is yet to officially sign on the dotted line. But the offer has been made and since Prashanth is still basking in the success of KGF, he is yet to take a call and has requested for time. An official announcement regarding the project is expected to be made in the next few months," the source revealed.
