Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar condemn Pulwama terror attack

The terror attack on Thursday led to 44 CRPF jawans losing their lives in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district.

The industry came together on social media to condemn the recent dastardly terror attacks on Indian soldiers at Pulwama. The attack, conducted by the group Jaish-e-Mohammed on Thursday, which is based in Pakistan, resulted in the death of 44 CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) jawans. Calling it a 'cowardly' attack, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra condemned the act of taking human lives. 

Singh tweeted out his 'anger' at the attacks saying he was 'saddened' at the news. 

His Gully Boy co-star, Alia Bhatt also took to Twitter to share her feeling about the deaths. The actress described it as 'despicable.' 

Bhatt's mother, actress Soni Razdan, shared a lengthier post on her anger. She wrote 'Pakistan you need to stop this. You cannot ever hope to be a nation of peace if you continue these senseless and heinous war crimes'

Akshay Kumar also took to Twitter to calling people to 'not let this be forgotten'. 

While the industry has been accused of avoiding key political conflicts, they seemed to be unified in their thoughts for the soldiers who lost their lives and thier families. While she was in America, actress Priyanka Chopra also took to social media to express her shock at the attack. 

Salman Khan, who recently made a trip to the Wagah border for his upcoming Bharat, also expressed his condolences for the families who lost their loved ones. 

Anger seemed to be a common emotion, and Ajay Devgn was among the many who shared it. 

Even his illness did not stop Rishi Kapoor, one of the more vocal voices on social media, to condemn the attacks that took place on Thursday. 

Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar also took to Twitter to condemn the events. Akhtar said, ' Today I share the grief of the dear ones of the martyrs'
