After wowing critics at the 2018 MAMI Mumbai Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival last year, Vasan Bala's Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota finally has a theatrical release date.

The film, which won the People's Choice award at the 2018 Toronto festival, is now set to arrive in theatres on 21 March 2019.

Incidentally, this marks the first release for the director who has been in the filmmaking business for 14 years. Vasan Bala's Peddlers is also awaiting a release.

Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota marks the debut of Abhimanyu Dassani, son of the actress Bhagyashree, who plays a martial arts expert unable to feel pain.

Protected by his grandfather, he finally gets himself into a battle with a set of twins (played by Gulshan Devaiah), one of whom is a gangster while the other is a one-legged karate expert.

Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota was the opening film at the 2018 Mumbai Film Festival, and received a standing ovation.
