Actress and social activist Dia Mirza, who turned 38 today, launched her newest project, a new production house titled One India Stories LLP. The banner will create "meaningful content" for different formats and mediums.

"We plan to collaborate with some incredible individuals from different film industries and also have women-led stories as part of the roster,” Dia Mirza said in a statement.

She revealed that she is already in conversation with multiple content creators, scriptwriters and filmmakers. Her company plans to make some announcements about forthcoming projects soon.

"I believe in the power of ONE and that we are all bound by the thread of oneness and humanity," Dia Mirza said. "One India Stories is formed with this thought. We want to create stories that will make you pause and think, stories that will remind us of our connection to each other and the planet, stories that will make us watch and reflect. It's a very special start for me, something I've always wanted to do, and I hope we are able to showcase our vision in every story we create.”

In 2011, Dia Mirza had co-founded Born Free Entertainment with then husband Sahil Sangha. They produced the films Love Breakups Zindagi (2011), directed by Sangha, and Bobby Jasoos (2014), which starred Vidya Balan, as also the Amazon Prime web-series Mind The Malhotras.

The couple announced their separation on 1 August after 11 years together.
