Box office: Commando 3 has a good first week with Rs28 crore nett earnings

Commando 3 (2019), starring Vidyut Jammwal, has built upon the success of the previous films and earned well with Rs28 crore nett in its first week, according to the numbers at BoxOfficeIndia.com
The third installment of the series, directed by Aditya Datt, posted lower numbers on Wednesday and Thursday with Rs2.50 crore and Rs2 crore respectively. Its highest number came on Sunday, 1 December, when the action film earned Rs7.75 crore nett.
As the film heads into its second week, it will likely recover its Rs30 crore budget, but the gains will be limited with the new releases of Panipat (2019) and Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019).
Hotel Mumbai (2019), starring Dev Patel and Anupam Kher, continued to earn in dwindling numbers at the multiplexes with Rs60 lakh on Tuesday and Wednesday, and Rs50 lakh on Thursday. The collections for the Anthony Maras film stand at Rs7 crore, according to BoxOfficeIndia.com
Bala (2019), starring Ayushmann Khurrana, made Rs4.50 crore nett in its fourth week, nearly reaching Rs110 crore nett. The comedy looks to earn another 2-3 crore as it enters its fifth week.
Unfortunately, Marjaavaan (2019), with Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh, and Tara Sutaria, saw an 80% drop in its third week. The action melodrama only earned Rs1.25 crore nett in the week, taking its final collections to Rs45.64 crore nett.
Similarily the Anees Bazmee comedy Pagalpanti (2019) faced a drop of 85% in its second week as it earned Rs4.25 crore nett. The comic caper could only manage to reach Rs32.84 crore nett so far.
