When the 66th National Film awards function was finally held on Monday in New Delhi, the team of Yoodlee Films' Hamid (2019) was present to pick up the film's two awards. The Aijaz Khan film was honoured with awards for Best Urdu Film and Best Child Actor (young Talha Arshad Reshi) at the ceremony.

Aijaz Khan, Talha Arshad Reshi and producer Siddharth Anand Kumar were present to receive the honours. An exhilarated Khan said, "It’s indeed an honour to be recognized and feted by the highest award in India. My happiness has multiplied as Talha, the child actor who played Hamid, came with his family from Kashmir to receive his award of Best Child Actor for the film. This makes it even more special.”

Reshi, the young Kashmiri boy who made his acting debut in the film, could not stop smiling broadly and said, "This is such a special moment for my family and me. I never imagined I will receive a National award in my very first film. I want to thank my parents, Aijaz sir, Rasika [Dugal] ma’am and the entire team for helping me with understanding Hamid as a character. Without them, this award wouldn't have come my way."

And to be feted with the National award is testimony to the vision that Aijaz and the team had, that has so beautifully been translated on to the screen," producer Kumar added.
