Prabhudeva's Dabangg 3 (2019) saw a collection of Rs73 crore nett over the weekend according to BoxOfficeIndia.com. The film's collection was affected to a certain extent by the ongoing protests across the country, which affected theatre footfalls in several regions.

The film opened on Friday, 20 December, with Rs22.50 crore nett, and improved upon it on Saturday and Sunday. According to figures on the website, the Saturday collections stayed the same with Rs22 crore nett, but Sunday saw an improvement as collections rose to Rs28 crore nett.

The Delhi-UP market were the worst hit as the collections fell to less than 50% of the ticket collections in Mumbai region. Usually, the difference is a 10-15% gap. The film was expected to make around Rs85 crore nett over the weekend.

While it is not a bad turnover, the film's Monday results might prove to be a determining factor in its performance over the week. With the Christmas holiday set to arrive on Wednesday, the film could see a slight improvement.

Meanwhile, Mardaani 2 (2019) saw a drop in the second weekend with a collection of Rs5.75 crore nett. The Rani Mukerji thriller has collected Rs33.50 crore nett so far in 10 days. It is likely to improve on the Rs36 crore collection of Mardaani (2014) and is on the way to hit the Rs40 crore number if it holds steady till next week.

With Good Newwz (2019) set to arrive in theatres on 27 December, both films will likely see a fall this week.
