On the same day she plays the stereotypical mother in the Salman Khan vehicle, Dabangg 3 (2019), Dimple Kapadia shows off her mystique in the trailer for Christopher Nolan's Tenet (2020). The trailer captures a typical mind-bending storyline that alternates between the past and the present, as expected from the director of Memento (2000), Inception (2010) and Interstellar (2014).

The trailer begins in Mumbai at the Worli seaface the sight of actors John David Washington and Robert Pattinson preparing to climb a building, except they fly towards it when the moment comes. It is as though they are moving in reverse. This reversing of time comes through further when Martin Davidson tells Washington, 'Welcome to the afterlife'.

A mysterious trailer that raises more questions than it answers, it is fascinating, well-shot, and definitely has a buzz around it. With the threat of something worse than a nuclear holocaust at hand, Washington is tasked with preventing it. 'You have to start looking at the world in a new way."

There were several shots of the actress shooting alongside Nolan and the rest of the cast including, Robert Pattinson and John David Washington in Mumbai back in September 2019. The actress looks to be playing a mysterious guide to Washington's character in the film.

Tenet is set to release in theatres on 17 July 2020.
