The Rani Mukerji-starrer grew from its opening day collection of Rs3.75 crore nett to a good Rs6.50 crore nett on Saturday, and Rs7.75 crore nett on Sunday.
Box office: Mardaani 2 earns Rs18 crore on first weekend, Pati Patni Aur Woh continues to run strong

Rani Mukerji's Mardaani 2 (2019) continued to roll on through the weekend to finish with a decent Rs18 crore at the box office. According to numbers from BoxOfficeIndia.com, the film saw a growth on Saturday and Sunday despite a fairly low opening on Friday.
The sequel to Pradeep Sarkar's Mardaani (2014), directed by Gopi Puthran, earned Rs6.50 crore nett on Saturday and Rs7.75 crore nett on Sunday. This took the film's collections past the opening weekend turnover of the first film (Rs14.50 crore nett).
BoxOfficeIndia.com stated that the film has fared well in the regions of West Bengal, Mumbai city and Pune. While the Northern region has not shown as much promise, the film is still likely to have a better run over the week.
The Emraan Hashmi-led The Body (2019) fared poorly with Rs2.05 crore nett collection over three days. The other disaster at the counters was Mudda 370 (2019) which only earned close to Rs25 lakh approx.
At the other end, Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019) had an impressive second weekend, collection Rs12.25 crore nett. This takes the total of the film to Rs63.50 crore for now. The film had ended its first week with Rs51.25 crore, and is likely to see a drop in the coming week.
Ashutosh Gowariker's Panipat (2019) continued to struggle at the box office with a meagre addition of Rs3.25 crore nett. This puts the collection of the film at Rs29 crore nett.
With Good Newwz (2019) and Dabangg 3 (2019) on the horizon, the films are likely to see a drop in the coming weeks.
