Suvrat Joshi to star alongside Sayali Sanjeev in Gosht Eka Paithanichi

The makers of Gosht Eka Paithanichi (2020) have announced that Suvrat Joshi will be seen in the film alongside the lead actress Sayali Sanjeev. He will play a flower seller who sits outside a temple. Directed by Shantanu Ganesh Rode, the film is produced by Planet Marathi and Golden Ratio. 

Joshi is known for his roles in television serials like Dil Dosti Duniyadari and films like Shikari (2018), Party (2018) and Dokyala Shot (2019). He is glad to be playing a different character in Gosht Eka Paithanichi. 

“I always like playing characters that are not run-of-the-mill. This is what is challenging for an actor,” he said in an official statement. “The character of flower seller in this film is one such. I prepared for this character by observing real garland makers for hours. I learnt making garlands and bouquets from them. I feel this work is no different than an art. The film has a beautiful story and I feel happy and fulfilled to be a part of it.” 

Sayali’s look from the film was recently released through the film’s first poster. She is seen wearing a blue paithani [a type of a silk saree made in Paithan, Maharashtra]. 

Gosht Eka Paithanichi went on floors in the last week of November.
