The director has not revealed how he is going to approach the thriller, nor has he disclosed anything about the rest of the cast. However, he has informed fans that the film will attempt to explore the ways in which the lives of Abhijit and Amrita have progressed since.

The film will go on the floors in October. In an interview with The Times of India newspaper, Sen stated, “I am so excited to work with Srijit again. The way he directs a thriller is praiseworthy and I am sure Dwitiyo Purush will have a similar effect on the audience as Baishe Srabon.”

Mukherji said it would be exciting to look back at the film and also meet old friends from the cast and crew. Dwitiyo Purush will also mark the completion of 10 years of the director in the industry.

Earlier this year, Mukherji’s thriller Vinci Da was praised and received positive reviews. The director has Gumnaami and Kakababur Protyaborton slated for release later this year.
