Sanjay Dutt claims the golden throne in new Prasthanam poster

The new poster of the Hindi film directed by Deva Katta has power written all over it.

Keyur Seta

In director Deva Katta’s Prasthanam: Earn The Legacy, Sanjay Dutt will be back playing a character with grey shades who doesn’t shy away from wielding a gun. The actor has successfully done that in films like Khal Nayak (1993), Vaastav: The Reality (1999), Kaante (2002), and Musafir (2004).

The latest poster of Prasthanam, which is just released, shows Dutt in full glory with a gun pointed at whoever is in front of him.. The actor is sitting literally on a golden throne like a king. The cigar in his hand, tilak (coloured mark) on forehead and that confident, determined expression is enough to make it clear that his character fears no one.

Dutt shared the poster on his official Twitter page and wrote, “Earn the legacy... virasat se nahi, kabiliyat se! [not through heritage but on your capability]” This instantly brings to mind Hrithik Roshan’s dialogue from Super 30 (2019) – Raja ka beta Raja nahin banega. Raja wohi banega jo hakdaar hoga [A king’s son won’t become a king. Only the truly deserving will become one].

Prasthanam is the official Hindi remake of the Telugu hit of the same name that had released in 2010 and was also directed by Katta.

The Hindi version also stars Manisha Koirala, Jackie Shroff, Ali Fazal, Chunky Pandey, Amyra Dastur and Satyajeet Dubey.

Prasthanam is all set to release on 20 September and will clash with the romances Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas and The Zoya Factor.
