Mukta A2 Cinemas has opened its 28th property, Orion, in Santa Cruz, Mumbai. The theatre chain had acquired the erstwhile Roop single-screen cinema and refurbished it. The new Orion Mukta A2 Cinemas was launched on 2 August, the first Friday of the current month, with Khandaani Shafakhana and Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw.
With this, Mukta A2 Cinemas has launched its 63rd screen in the country. Orion, the newest single-screen theatre in the chain, seats 203 viewers and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology with Dolby speakers and 2K digital projection.
Commenting on the launch of the newest property, Rahul Puri, managing director of the theatre chain, said, “We are delighted to have received all the love and support over these years from our audience, which has motivated us to provide them with unique movie-going experiences."
Puri said that keeping the growing demand from customers in mind, the company is also launching a new property in Bhilai [in Chhattisgarh] this month, taking its overall count to 65 screens. "We strive to constantly provide patrons with a holistic and state-of-the-art cinematic experience. And in our endeavour to do so, we create lifelong memories for them at our properties across the world," Puri added.
