After the success of Farzand (2018), writer-director Digpal Lanjekar has returned with another fictionalized tale of valour of Maratha warrior Shivaji and his soldiers.

The makers of Fatteshikast (2019) have released the first teaser of the film, and by the looks of it, the teaser seems to be in the same league of Lanjekar's previous film. A rousing background score also adds to the curiosity about the film.

The teaser claims that it's a story of the surgical strike carried out by Shivaji and his soldiers in 1663 AD. In this action-packed teaser, we are introduced to various characters that play important parts in this surgical strike.

Lanjekar has retained some of the cast members from Farzand. Mrinal Kulkarni and Chinmay Mandlekar reprise their roles of Jijabai and Shivaji. From the few glimpses we see in the teaser and their previous work from Farzand, it's safe to assume that both will do justice to their roles.

Another actor from Farzand who makes his way into this new film is Ankit Mohan. He had played the role of Kondaji Farzand, but here, we see him as Yesaji Kank. Apart from growing a scruffy beard, Mohan has carried the same look in this film as well, which might cause confusion among the audiences.

Mrunmayee Deshpande also reprises her role of Kesar from Farzand.

The makers have also made an interesting choice to recast the actors for the roles of Bahirji Naik and Tanaji Malusare. This decision will definitely raise few eyebrows considering both Prasad Oak and Ganesh Yadav had delivered fantastic performance in their respective roles.

Fatteshikast (2019), produced by Almond Creations, is due to be released on 15 November.
