Mainak Bhaumik and SVF Entertainments have launched another poster of his upcoming detective film Goyenda Junior (2019), featuring Rwitobroto Mukherjee in the lead. The poster also features Mukherjee’s real-life father Santilal Mukherjee and other three actors, who were also seen in Bhaumik’s Generation Aami (2018).

In the poster, Rwitobroto, who plays Bikram in the film, seems to be leading a group, on the verge of unearthing a mystery. He has crossed the caution lines, marking danger, while the others are only following him in his quest. While Bikram appears fearless in the poster, the rest carry an expression of being taken aback by some of kind of discovery.

In the film, Bikram, an orphan, lives with his uncle, who is a police officer. Bikram is witty, brave, good in studies and loves to read crime thrillers. Bikram’s narrative will also feature him facing various challenges that a lonely teenage boy often faces. His uncle asks him to accompany in his cases to curb his boredom and thus, with sheer intelligence and intuition, Bikram ends up solving a crime.

The film is an outcome of Bhaumik’s long-held desire of making a detective film. His recent thriller, Bornoporichoy (2019), featuring Abir Chatterjee and Jisshu Sengupta in the lead, did not do well in the box office.

The unit started shooting for Goyenda Junior this July; the film is slated for release this September.
