Baahubali was different, in Saaho we just want to entertain people, says Prabhas

The actor believes it is not right to make any box-office comparisons between the two films.

Saaho is Prabhas's next film after the historic blockbuster Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017), which also starred Rana Daggubati. His next flick after the SS Rajamouli movie has come after more than two years. This, coupled with the fact that Baahubali went so berserk at the ticket window, will surely make everyone keenly observe Saaho's box office.

But Prabhas believes comparisons ought not to be made between the films. “Baahubali was different," he said at Saaho's trailer launch on Saturday. "It made history. In this we just want to entertain the audience that watched Baahubali and my fans. [We are] just trying that. This is nothing compared to Baahubali.”

Saaho has been shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu. Hence, it is the first film in which Prabhas has spoken in Hindi and his co-star Shraddha Kapoor in Telugu. Asked if both artistes helped each other with their respective new language, Prabhas said, “I didn’t help her in Telugu. She was very good. But in Hindi she helped me a lot.”

Directed by Sujeeth, the film also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, Jackie Shroff, Chunky Pandey, Mahesh Manjrekar and Mandira Bedi. Saaho will be released on 30 August.
